Mycology and oceanography are the only two sciences left that are still widely unexplored. If any student out there is interested in a Nobel prize, these two fields of study would be your best bet. Science has observed a mushroom that can grow into an ant's brain, force the ant to climb up high, then it releases its fruiting body and kills the ant. No one knows how, All they have done is observe it. If you figure out the physical mechanisms as to how this happens you will win a Nobel Peace prize and possibly get a grant worth millions of dollars.

With this video I learned absolutely nothing, why said so, because there are mushrooms that are absolutely ok to eat, others are delicious and some can make you drugged up high or even poison. For that reason I say, when watching the break down of this I wanted to know which ones are safe and which ones are deadly. so.. still no answer to that

No what's irresponsible is believing anyone when they tell you any mushroom is edible without knowing from your own study and 100 percent before you eat it so someone saying it's edible is not evidence of it being edible

I typically hunt morels in Northern Michigan along the 45 parallel and I often come across the Verpa Bohemica. Not knowing if this is considered a good edible mushroom, could you please let me know wheather or not if it is recommend to eat the caps of these mushrooms as I will stay away from the stem as it looks, more than kindof gross. And thanks for the useful information, between you and Adam Haritan, you folks are giving me an education. Thanks.
